Sophia Fifner is the president and CEO of the Columbus Metropolitan Club (CMC), a visionary organization that connects people and ideas through community conversations.

Sophia launched her career in philanthropy and public policy, working first as a staff assistant under Senator George Voinovich in Washington and most recently as director of corporate social responsibility and executive director of the NiSource Charitable Foundation at NiSource.

Over time, Sophia has helped to secure and steward over $100 million in funds to support social impact and has served as a strategic senior advisor for S&P 500 CEOs and executives on messaging, channels, and delivery style with publications such as MSNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Fast Company, and the Wall Street Journal.

Sophia is an active volunteer and passionate about supporting survivors of sexual violence and gender equity. Currently, she gives her time to the Women’s Fund of Central Ohio, Ohio Crime Victims Justice Center, Marsys’ Law for Ohio, Freedom a la Cart, and the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence.
